Wendi Moore
M.A. (Counselling), B.A. (Psychology)

I work with clients experiencing emotional distress related to trauma, grief, chronic stress, or difficulty regulating emotions who are open to exploring the patterns behind these challenges. Many feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, shame, or overwhelm and want to understand why these responses occur. In our work together, I focus on building emotional safety, teaching nervous system regulation skills, and helping clients understand protective coping patterns. My goal is to help reduce distress, strengthen resilience, and support a more compassionate and stable relationship with themselves and others.
I provide trauma-informed counselling focused on emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and grief. Using approaches such as EMDR, parts-based work, somatic and nervous system regulation using polyvagal theory, I help clients understand patterns, process difficult experiences, and build practical skills for resilience and emotional balance.
One of my areas of expertise is in use of art and writing narrative techniques paired with EMDR for those experiencing difficulty in formulating visual memory representations, especially with those individuals with alexithymia and other neurodivergent presentations. Another emerging expertise is using VR immersion technology for working with those who lack the language around emotional expression due to childhood trauma. Contact me if you’d like to learn more about this new interface and see if it is right for your needs.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, you are not alone. Many people carry difficult experiences in silence. Counselling can offer a supportive space to explore what you’re going through and begin moving toward greater clarity, stability, and healing.
